Dr. Janel Seeley

Meet

Who am I?

Rooted in Connection. Grounded in Presence.

I’m Janel Seeley, an educator, facilitator, and coach who believes that transformative change begins with how we show up fully present, courageously honest, and open to what emerges.

With a PhD in Educational Psychology and a background in social work, I’ve spent the last two decades cultivating meaningful learning experiences across classrooms, boardrooms, and continents. I currently serve as the Director of the Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Wyoming, where I design programs that elevate how we teach and how we connect.

But my work doesn’t stop at the university.

From Uzbekistan to South Africa, from small group circles to keynote stages, I help people slow down, listen deeply, and engage in the kind of dialogue that transforms not just ideas, but lives.

What I Believe

I believe:

  • Reflective dialogue isn’t just a method—it’s a way of living.

  • Genuine curiosity strengthens relationships.

  • Growth doesn’t always come from knowing more—it often comes from listening differently.

I approach every session, workshop, and conversation with humility, presence, and the commitment to co-create spaces where vulnerability and wisdom can coexist.

When I’m not working with clients or leading dialogue trainings, you’ll find me exploring the Wyoming trails with my dogs, tending to my beehives, or planning my next international adventure. Nature, stillness, and connection are my teachers.
